Presentation — Secure login flow, UX copy, and feature overview
Ledger Login Crypto Wallet App
Title slide • concise framing • Who, What, Why
Welcome to the product presentation for the Ledger Login experience — a compact, secure, and user-friendly flow for accessing Ledger's crypto wallet across devices. This deck contains design rationale, copy suggestions, color usage, a light/dark theme system, prototype-ready content, and accessibility considerations.
Core Focus
Secure user authentication (device-based + passphrase)
Clear progressive disclosure for new users
Fast recovery and on-ramp flows
Delightful micro‑interactions and accessible UI)
Problem Statement
What users struggle with today
Cryptocurrency custody is safe but often painful. Users face confusing recovery processes, phishing attacks, and unclear on-screen instructions. Ledger Login aims to reduce cognitive load while retaining cryptographic security.
Key user pains
Unclear distinction between account login and wallet recovery
Fear of losing seed phrase or entering it into unsafe environments
Multiple devices — inconsistent experiences across mobile & desktop
Proposed Solution
High level components
Ledger Connect: a secure pairing flow between a Ledger device and the web/mobile app using local cryptographic attestation.
Minimal Login UI: fast recognition, biometric fallback (if device supports), and a single ‘Authenticate’ action.
Guided Recovery: only reveal recovery steps when absolutely necessary — stepwise, safe, and offline-first reminders.
Each piece is designed to reduce user error and block phishing attacks with on-device confirmations, origin binding, and clear visual security indicators.
Login Flow (User Journey)
From landing to successfully authenticated
Open Ledger app or connect a Ledger device to the browser.
Detect device and show trusted origin badge on-device.
User selects account, taps Authenticate on the device.
App displays success and loads wallet dashboard.
Microcopy examples
Landing prompt: "Connect your Ledger device to begin — never enter your recovery phrase online."
On-device: "Approve connection to Ledger Web — origin: ledger.example"
Success: "Login complete — Welcome back!"
Security & Anti‑Phishing
Design decisions that protect users
On-device confirmation for critical actions
Origin pinning: show a short origin hash on device during connection
Contextual warnings: style heavy warnings only when user deviates from expected flow
Example: on-device prompt -> "Approve login to ledger.app (hash: 8f3a)"
Accessibility & Internationalization
Inclusive design
High contrast theme available (already covered by dark/light vars)
Keyboard reachable: all primary controls are reachable via Tab and Enter
Screen reader text: each on-device prompt must have alternate text in the UI
Language support: brief copy with placeholders to allow RTL translation
Color System
Palette & usage
Use --accent for primary CTA, --accent-2 for secondary highlights, and muted tones for supportive text. Reserve --danger for irreversible actions and --success for confirmations.

UI Components & Copybank
Reusable copy and components
Buttons
Primary CTA: "Connect Ledger"
Secondary: "Use recovery phrase"
Danger: "Reset device — erase keys"
Short prompts
"Tap your Ledger to confirm"
"Device found — pairing in progress"
"This action requires on‑device approval"
Fresh Messaging & New Terms
Unique, brand‑aligned vocabulary
Introduce approachable terms that demystify crypto security without losing accuracy:
Guard-Key — simplified brand name for the hardware private key feature
SafePass — optional user PIN used locally on mobile devices for quick unlocks (not a recovery phrase)
Origin Shield — on-device origin hash that protects from phishing
Recovery Beacon — an offline-only reminder and checklist for safe recovery
Use these new words consistently across the app to build trust and reduce ambiguity.

Title: "Login with Ledger — Secure and Simple"
Lead paragraph: Your Ledger device stores your private keys locally, keeping them out of the cloud. To sign in, simply connect your Ledger and confirm the connection on the device. We never ask for your recovery phrase — ever.
Steps
Open the Ledger app on your device or plug in your Ledger via USB/USB-C.
Return to this page and select "Connect Ledger".
On your Ledger, verify the origin string and approve the connection.
After approval, you'll see the wallet dashboard with an account list and balances.
Safety tip: If the origin on your Ledger doesn't match the website you expect, cancel and check the URL carefully.
Notification & Email Templates
Concise, clear notifications
Login success (in-app)
"You're signed in. For extra protection, enable SafePass for quick unlocks on this device."
Suspicious activity (email snippet)
"We've detected a sign-in attempt from a new browser. If this was you, confirm on your Ledger. If not, revoke the session immediately."
Light & Dark Theme Guidelines
How to keep parity across themes
Both themes must show the same information hierarchy. Colors should map consistently between themes: primary accent retains prominence; muted text remains readable; warnings are reserved for critical actions.
Dark theme
Use ample negative space and subtle highlights for depth.
Button: background var(--accent), text white
Light theme
Use soft shadows and pastel surfaces to create affordances.
Q3: Origin Shield improvements & multi-account support
Q4: Recovery Beacon tooling and localized help content
KPIs
Time-to-login median: < 18s
Reduction in staged support tickets: 35%
Adoption of SafePass on new devices: 25% in 3 months
Appendix: Copy Variations
Short, medium, and long versions of critical lines
Landing CTA
Short: "Connect Ledger"
Medium: "Connect your Ledger device — fast, private access"
Long: "Connect your Ledger and confirm on-device to securely access your wallet — we never request your recovery phrase."
